As you know, the Social Justice Committee has been collecting food donations for Patterson Elementary students for the last couple of weeks. A big thanks to all those who have contributed to this special project and we will continue to collect donations until Saturday , Dec. 14th. On that Saturday, we will begin preparing the bags of food for distribution to Patterson. Join us as we host volunteers from Family of God Church for this feel good project!! Meet us at the UU at 9am!
Suggested backpack items: 1. Instant oatmeal, instant grits, and breakfast cereal in individual packets 2. Peanut butter crackers, cheese crackers, granola bars, trail mix 3. Fruit juice, fruit cups, raisins, fresh apples and oranges, pudding cups 4. Macaroni and cheese packages, cup of soup, ramen noodles 5. Small cans of tuna, salmon, vienna sausage, chili, lasagna, 4-ounce cans of vegetables, 4-ounce cans of any food 6. Individual tuna salad and chicken salad packs Also: EMPTY GROCERY BAGS
