To build a brighter future, we need a well lit path to follow! To blaze our path, the Vision and Growth Committee began the process of identifying congregational priorities in 2012. Members were asked on three occasions for their brightest ideas and best suggestions. These suggestions were then compiled, tabulated and recorded in a lengthy planning document. Championing the democratic process, the five items with the most interest have been incorporated as our goals in the 2013-2018 UUFBC Strategic Plan. The original Plan was affirmed during the UUFBC Annual Meeting held on June 9, 2013.
The Strategic Plan is intended to provide guidance to the congregation and its leadership, in order to focus our actions and our resources on those things that matter to us most. In this way. we can make meaningful progress in our Fellowship and have a positive impact in our community. We can move forward with the confidence that we are all participating in a cooperative and consistent effort, working toward the stated interests of our membership as a whole. The Board of Directors reviewed our original plan during the 2016-2017 year and aligned it to fit within our mission statement. Some goals/strategies that were completed were eliminated. We urge you to take a few minutes and read our collaborative 5 Year Strategic Plan and then we hope you will join us and together, blaze our path to the future.
