The weather has finally taken a turn for the warmer and it’s time to get out on the trails again!
join us for our next UU Hike as we explore the Eastern Lake Trail and Eden Gardens State Park. Located to our west off CR 395, The Eastern Lake Trail offers us the choice of a 3 mile or 6 mile hike. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes and bring bug spray, sun screen and a hat is always a good idea. This time of year it doesn’t hurt to bring some rain gear as well.
After our hike, we’ll drive up the road to the beautiful Eden Gardens State Park for a look around the historic Wesley Mansion and it’s gardens (tours of the house available on the hour ~$4). There are also picnic tables for our “bring your own bag” lunch and an additional nature trail we can explore.

CARPOOLING: We’ll meet at the K-mart (by the Hathaway Bridge) at 8:00am and we should arrive at the trail head around 8:45am. The trailhead parking is located on CR 395 about 1 1/2 miles south of Hwy 98. CR 395 is approx 30 miles west of the Hathaway Bridge.
COST: Trail fee $2 per person / Eden Gardens Park fee $4 per carload
So, dust off your hiking boots and grab your lunch!
