On Sunday June 12th, Chris May will facilitate a conversation at 9am about Creating Social Justice with the UUA. The UUA has a legacy of “deeds not creeds.” Social Justice efforts within the UUA are grounded in our congregationally-driven social justice statements and include the call to break down divisions, heal isolation, and honor the interconnectedness of all life and all justice issues.
June 12th we will review the process of creating Social Justice Statements. We will consider the current Study Action Issue, Escalating Inequality, and how UUFBC might become part of the action. And, if we have time, we will deliberate on the proposed Study Action Issues to be voted on at GA this year.
Proposed Congregational Study/Action Issues (CSAIs)
- A National Conversation On Race
- Climate Change and Environmental Justice
- The Corruption of Our Democracy
- Ending Gun Violence in America
