The UUFBC covenant states that we promise “…to dwell together in peace, to seek the trManishuth in love and to help one another.”
Are these merely words that we recite every Sunday?  What does it mean “…to help one another”?

Let us explore, under the leadership of our friend Rev. Manish Mishra-Marzetti, how we can better care for each other. Rev. Manish has  offered to participate in various activities over the weekend as we delve into the subject of pastoral care in a lay-led community.

Friday, November 8th, join a discussion with Rev. Manish and our community at 7:00 pm while we partake in a dessert fondue and beverages. If you care to provide fruit or pastries to accompany the dessert fondue sauces, please contact Cathy R., rifenburgglck@comcast.net

Saturday, November 9th, an educational and thought-provoking movie, I Am, will be featured as we share a vegetarian pot-luck meal.  The evening festivities will start at 6:00 p.m.  According to the synopsis on the movie’s website:  “I Am is an utterly engaging and entertaining non-fiction film that poses two practical and provocative questions: What’s wrong with our world?  And what can we do to make it better?”  This movie is a documentary by Tom Shadyac.  For more movie details go to www.iamthedoc.com.

Sunday, November 10th, Rev. Manish will speak to our community at the Sunday morning service.  His sermon title will be, “The Tie That Binds.”  Rev. Manish is an  inspirational and motivational speaker, so don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy his company and to share in his wisdom and his gentle spirit.

Child care is provided at every event.

The vision and growth team, Al Burgermeister, Robbie Williams, John Shaffer, Chris May, and Cathy Rifenburg, are pleased to host the weekend with Rev. Manish.  We cordially invite you to join us as we are called to be the best that we can be as Unitarian Universalists.
