The Martin Luther King Jr. weekend celebrations will begin with a Prayer Breakfast at 8 AM, Saturday January 17th, at the Glenwood Community Center, located at 722 East 9th Court. This event is sponsored by the NAACP.
A little later the same day, the MLK Parade will take place, with everyone assembling at the Bay County Courthouse, located at 300 East 4th Street. The parade route is approximately 3 miles and loops back to the courthouse. Please participate in any distance that is comfortable for you.
Plan to arrive at the courthouse about 11 AM and look for members of the Social Justice Committee who will be proudly displaying our new UUFBC banner. Our UU participants will be joined by members of the Unity congregation, the St. Andrews Episcopal Church, and  the Emerald Coast Pagan Community. We want to have an especially good showing of support, given all the tragic events of this past year.
On Monday, January 19th, there will be a celebration held at McKenzie Park from 10 AM until 4 PM, with music, food and fun, sponsored by A-CURE.
