Summer is coming and we’re planning a fun day at Falling Waters State Park! The park is located on Hwy 77, just below Chipley. It’s a beautiful and accessible park with the tallest water fall in Florida, picnic area, playground, and swimming pond.

Field Trip to Falling Waters State Park
We will gather at the UU Fellowship at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 24th, to carpool (or caravan) to Falling Waters State Park which is located just south of Chipley Florida.  There is a fee of $5.00 per car.

This will be an all-afternoon adventure (until about 4:00 p.m.), including a picnic with hot dogs and hamburgers. Please bring a side dish or salad or dessert to share , and whatever you would like to drink.

The UU has rented a pavilion where we will gather. (When you pay the entry fee, ask for a map of the park. Our pavilion (the large pavilion) is off the main parking area. The name on the rental is Robert Gilmore, for the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship).
Bring sun screen, and a bathing suit so we can enjoy swimming. The park representative has told us the pavilion is accessible by wheelchair, and is near a restroom. Also bring bug spray and walking shoes as there is also a nice little hike to the waterfall (also wheelchair accessible).
We will bring a corn hole game and decks of cards. Bring along your games, if you like.
Please RSVP as soon as you can with how many people will be attending, and preference for hotdogs or hamburgers, so we can have enough for grilling
Please join us for a fun trip that you won’t want to miss!
RSVP please: gilzach@yahoo.com or 850-819-6562
Looking forward to seeing you there.
