WEED WHACKERS AND POTATO BASHERS
OF ALL AGES NEEDED

It’s alive!  And it’s eating the world (well, at least Bay County)!  Gather at 9:00 AM on Saturday, January 25 in the parking lot at UU to help the Bay County Conservancy remove the invasive Air Potato from their Audubon Nature Preserve near the traffic circle at 19th Street and State Avenue.

Bring gloves and buckets and clippers, wear closed-toe shoes, bring snacks and drinks.  If you would like to bring a sack lunch, we can eat it in the gazebo at the Preserve.  This is a multi-generational activity.  Kids are encouraged to help out by picking up “potatoes” that have fallen from the vines.  Adults can do the same or can remove vines.  Prizes for the most potatoes, the biggest potato, and the strangest potato!
