As adults, revisiting the stories we loved as teenagers can reveal lessons we weren’t ready to see before. Life’s experiences shape our values, deepen our understanding, and give us the courage to keep moving forward. As a teenager, Kassandra loved Peter Jackson’s film adaptations of J.R.R.Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings. When she revisited the films earlier this year as an adult for the first time after 20 years, she discovered new layers of meaning and depth.
