At the walkabout on UUFBC’s grounds on May 1, the group agreed that a workday to remove some of the invasive exotic plants would be desirable.

Saturday, May 14 was selected in the hope of getting started on this job before summer becomes any more advanced.

Arrive any time after 8:00 AM.  Water and snacks will be provided, and you are asked to wear a sun hat with sturdy shoes and gloves.  Please bring any garden tools that you have, such as loppers and small shovels.  We will have a chainsaw, herbicide, and paint brushes for very targeted use of the herbicide.  If we have a good number of workers, we should be able to make a significant difference in a couple of hours.

As a bonus, our wild blackberries might be ripe! See you Saturday!
