Pledge Update 2014

Hello friends, and Happy New Year.  As we pass the half way point in our fiscal year, I want to give you a quick update on how we are doing on our pledge payments overall.  Our total amount pledged for the 12 months of our fiscal year (which runs from July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014) is $58,000.00.  At the half way point we would hope to have collected half of that, or $29,000.00 in pledge payments.  One week into January, we are right at $26,000.00, or about $3,000.00 “short”.  We are still paying our bills, bringing in quality speakers and musicians, making improvements, etc, etc.  But I am a little concerned—if the trend continues into the new year, by the end of June we would be $6,000.00 short of our pledge goal.

So, if you have perhaps fallen behind in keeping up with your pledge and can afford to do some catching up, it would be very much appreciated.  In addition to some pledges that are a bit behind, we do have a number of pledges that were made during the drive that so far have made no payments.  We know that circumstances can change sometimes and that it may  be impossible in some cases for a person or family to do what they had intended.  We certainly do not want anyone to put their own well being in jeopardy in order to donate to UUFBC.  But if you are behind because it has slipped your mind or because of temporary issues that are now in a better place, we would be very grateful if you could help “catch us up” on our budget so we can continue to do all the wonderful things we set out to do back in the exciting days of last spring.

And by the way, if you did not make a pledge but are contributing when you can by placing donations in the collection baskets on Sundays, those gifts are also vital and so appreciated….thank you!
