This class will begin with a potluck, so bring a dish that represents “Ethical Eating” to you and be prepared to talk about it.  While we are eating our ethical meal, we will watch a 40 minute lecture that shines light on the relationship between environmental justice and economic justice, and what that has to do with food.  Afterward we will have an opportunity to break into small group discussions to explore the issues raised further.

I don’t want to give anything away here, but I’ll tell you this much… Eating Ethically is much more complicated than just going to your grocery store and buying organic foods.  Come join us as we explore this topic together.

Our commitment to non-violent communication:  As we explore these topics together, we acknowledge that we are all coming from a different starting point and we will all end up with different conclusions.  We covenant to support each other in this process.  To share information when we have it.  To listen with an open heart and open mind.  To refrain from judging someone whose food ethics differ, because each of us are different!

Babysitting will be provided.
